Borjomi, the renowned Georgian sparkling water brand, has unveiled its latest limited edition packaging design. Created by the talented designer Antonia Skaraki and her team, this unique design captures the essence of festivities and pays homage to Georgian culture.
The inspiration for this design came from the mesmerizing beauty of fireworks. Just like fireworks light up the night sky, Borjomi aims to rejuvenate the soul of its consumers. The design features a majestic deer, a symbol deeply rooted in Georgian culture, rising from the rushing waters. The deer represents a magician, embodying the magic and wonder of Borjomi.
The design is a visual spectacle, combining the explosive lines of fireworks with rainbow lines that emphasize movement. The red color intensifies the celebration, while the water is depicted as being disturbed by the rhythms of the vibrations of creation. The Bolnisi cross, a significant symbol in Georgian culture, is also featured in the design, representing the center of life.
One of the strengths of this design lies in its ability to capture the essence of Borjomi without resorting to typical festive packaging patterns. The team, led by Antonia Skaraki, aimed to create a limited edition New Year package that stayed true to the brand's positioning as a liquid legend born in the heart of the Georgian mountains. The result is a design that combines tradition and ancient wisdom with a celebratory touch.
The Borjomi limited edition packaging project started in April 2021 in Athens and was completed in June 2021. The design was released on the market in December 2021, just in time for the festive season.
This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category. The award acknowledges designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity and ingenuity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The Borjomi limited edition packaging design showcases the team's strong technical and creative skills, contributing to the improvement of quality of life.
With its captivating visuals and deep cultural references, the Borjomi limited edition packaging design is a true testament to the brand's commitment to innovation and celebration. It is a collector's item that not only delights the senses but also tells a story of tradition, magic, and rejuvenation.
